When life is screaming at me

Psalm 91:14 came my way in my closet floor one Tuesday morning. Yes, I said my closet floor. For some reason the closeness of sitting in my closet gives me a safe feeling when I am seeking God. With every area of my life yelling at me, I went to his word for some comfort. His faithfulness never fails, he took me straight to Ps 91:14-16

"The Message" Bible quotes it like this....... "if you will hold on to me for dear life," says God, "I will get you out of trouble. I will give you the best of care if you'll only get to know and trust me. Call me and I'll answer, be at your side in bad times; I'll rescue you, then throw you a party. I'll give you a long life, give you a long drink of salvation!"

As far as I can see the only requirement from God is to know and trust him. I don't know about you but I could use some rescuing right about now. And a party from God.....bring it on!

Funny how He brings me to his word and his spirit calms me immediately. Sometimes I forget to "hold on for dear life' and I find myself hanging by one arm and reaching with the other for something of the worlds. Swinging, Slipping, when all I need to do is hold tight with BOTH hands and God himself will take the "best care of me."

So rather I'm in the closet or not, I can rest assured that God is watching over me, he will rescue me from trouble and care deeply for me. As for the party......I'm still waiting
