LOVE THE ONE YOUR WITH

This song lyric keeps running through my mind as I listen to my "Adult" children argue in the other room.

"Love the one your with"

Why is it so easy to be nice to strangers, smile when we are having a bad day, help someone we don't even know.....But be so ugly to our own family or friends. I've done it, I'm sure you've done it too! I have been convicted lately that I need to be the most kind and the most forgiving of the very people I share my life with. Romans 12 :10 reminds me to " Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another."

Do I give preference to those I live with? Do I overlook bad moods or short comings? Do I show brotherly love or kind affection toward the people who leave dirty dishes in my sink or messes around my house? Or do I lash out in anger because I can get away with it?

Life is fake when you can't get along and "Love The One Your With"

Show some love, a little mercy or forgiveness toward someone close to you. Over look each others short comings and lift one another up with the love of Christ. Be patient with one another slow to anger and abounding in grace in mercy Then go help a stranger, be kind and smile to that person next to you in line.
