How selfish are you?

I have always thought of myself as a very giving and loving person. I often put others before me and enjoy doing helping or giving to the people around me. Am I selfish??? I would have answered that question as NO! I am not a selfish person!

Philippians 2:3 "Do nothing out of selfish or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourself "

If there was ever a word that means the opposite of Love it is selfishness. It is a trait we hate in others but justify in ourselves. We can point out the many ways others are selfish with out admitting that you yourself can be selfish! Remember that Corn 13:5 says " love does not seek its own"

How quick am I to point out the faults in others without looking inward. My prayer today is that my motives are out of Love and not selfish gain. True love put others first, in spite of what you want or need.
